More Than a Game: PONTE YOUR MOÑOS Brings Cultura to Angel City FC

October 24, 2026 | Los Angeles, California

Because our cultura deserves a place in every stadium, every celebration, and every space where communities come together.

On October 24, PONTE YOUR MOÑOS had the opportunity to collaborate with Angel City FC at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, bringing our signature trenzas, moños, and a whole lot of cultura to the world of women’s soccer.

What started as a day of complimentary braiding became something much more meaningful. It was a celebration of identity, community, and the beauty of sharing our traditions in spaces where we want to see them continue to thrive.

With eight talented braiders, vibrant pink and black ribbons, and plenty of lace, we welcomed fans of all backgrounds to experience a little piece of our cultura.

By the end of the activation, 150 fans had been braided, each leaving with a unique look and a little piece of the PONTE YOUR MOÑOS experience.

And even as our time came to an end, the line was still growing.

It was a beautiful reminder of just how much people value opportunities to connect through culture.

Bringing Our Cultura Into Women’s Sports

For us, this collaboration was about more than bringing braiding into a stadium. It was about showing up in spaces where our culture deserves to be celebrated.

Sports have always had the power to bring communities together. From families cheering in the stands to young girls watching their favorite athletes, these are spaces where memories are made, identities are celebrated, and a sense of belonging is built.

We believe Mexican and Latino culture should be part of those experiences, not just during cultural celebrations, but throughout the year.

Being part of an Angel City FC event was especially meaningful because of the opportunity to participate in the growing world of women’s sports.

As more people show up to support women athletes, we want to be there too, creating experiences that celebrate culture, representation, and community.

Our hope is to continue bringing PONTE YOUR MOÑOS into more stadiums, sporting events, and spaces that allow us to share our traditions with new audiences.

This Is Only the Beginning

Our collaboration with Angel City FC represents the kind of spaces we hope to continue being part of.

We want to see more of our traditions in sports, entertainment, art, and community experiences. We want young girls to grow up seeing their culture proudly represented, whether that’s through the athletes they admire or the beautiful trenzas and moños worn around them.

And most importantly, we want to continue creating spaces where people from different backgrounds can come together to experience and appreciate our cultura.

A special thank you to Angel City FC for welcoming PONTE YOUR MOÑOS and giving us the opportunity to share our traditions with your fans.

To our incredible team of braiders and everyone who stopped by our stations, thank you for making this experience so special.

We hope this is just the beginning of many more collaborations.

Here’s to more trenzas, more moños, more women’s sports, and more spaces where our cultura belongs. 🎀🩷

Con mucho amor,

The PONTE YOUR MOÑOS™ Team
